The Materials Manager is responsible for all material planning, purchasing, receiving, storage, and control of raw material, WIP, and finished goods. Purchasing and production control of the manufacturing facility. They are responsible for ensuring appropriate levels of materials are available and properly controlled.

- Leads planning, procurement, and material functions including shipping and receiving, stockroom, and inventory control.
- Develops and manages MRP and ERP systems implementations.
- Coordinates resolution of material related issues with the appropriate departments and/or suppliers to endure availability of required materials.
- Monitors and manages supplier performance
- Communicates performance issues and manages significant problem areas to ensure improvements.
- Supports group objectives for material cost reduction, Supplier ODT, inventory reduction, supplier quality, and supplier lead times.
- Ensures inventory control techniques, procedures, and best practices are followed
- Coordinates with other functional groups as needed.
- Advises management on long- and short-term supply chain strategies.
- Performs supervisory responsibilities including, but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, and addressing complaints or concerns; resolving problems.
- Directly supervises employees within the Purchasing/Receiving/Scheduling departments.
- Keeps other related duties as assigned by management.

Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a warehouse/production environment, and offsite. Some administrative task will require time spent in an office setting.

QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in a related field or equivalent, Preferred
Experience- 4 plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
