Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to the communities that Travis Credit Union serves:
Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus and Yolo counties. This position is considered remote but will be required to be on-site periodically.
The Business Intelligence Analyst at Travis Credit Union transforms complex data into strategic insights that support senior leadership and enterprise-wide initiatives. This role involves designing reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that guide both daily operations and long-term planning. Working independently and collaboratively across departments, the BI Analyst combines strong business acumen, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to deliver actionable intelligence that drives informed decision-making and measurable value.
Profile- Designs and maintains analytic solutions such as dashboards, reports, and tools to support performance tracking and data-driven decision-making.
- Applies analytical techniques and models to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and support operational and strategic improvements.
- Extracts, integrates, and analyzes data from multiple sources using technical and programming skills to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Communicates findings and insights clearly, translating data into actionable recommendations for business units and leadership.
- Conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis, including forecasting, segmentation, and root‑cause evaluation to support business optimization.
- Collaborates with stakeholders across departments to assess needs, define metrics, and develop solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Builds a working knowledge of data sources and structures to support effective analysis, reporting, and BI development.
- Identifies areas for improvement and contributes to the evaluation of business strategies and operational effectiveness.
- Ensures data integrity and reliability in reporting to support informed decision-making and performance management.
- Provides training and support to end users on accessing and interpreting BI tools, dashboards, and reports.
- Proficient in designing and delivering clear, impactful data visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Tableau (strongly preferred), Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences, including senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including experience in root‑cause analysis, trend identification, and performance evaluation.
- Skilled in making complex data accessible and meaningful through dynamic visualizations tailored to diverse audiences.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL for querying databases, data warehouses, and large datasets to support analysis and reporting.
- Solid foundation in data storytelling, business acumen, and collaborative consulting across departments.
- Ability to present findings, recommendations, and insights clearly and concisely to support strategic decision‑making.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python for data analysis and automation is a plus.
- Experience using data to illustrate business performance and develop materials for audiences ranging from operational teams to executive leadership.
- Understanding of data management tools, relational and multi‑dimensional databases, data warehouse design, and BI architecture.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong aptitude for working with data; consistently accurate, thorough, and quality‑focused.

- Reports directly to assigned department management.
- Exercises independent judgment and discretion in the design, development, and support of enterprise‑level business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models that inform strategic decision‑making across the organization.
