Position Summary
Position will be responsible for implementing and collecting data on individualized applied behavior analysis programs for assigned clients. The incumbent works with individuals and groups to promote optimum treatment outcomes through the acquisition of socially significant adaptive behaviors and reduction of maladaptive behaviors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Implement behavior modification programs
- Attend and participate in treatment/behavior management team meetings with staff
- Collect data as assigned by supervisor
- Utilize online data collection and scheduling software (i.e. Aloha
ABA and Motivity) - Communicate effectively with clients verbally and in written correspondence
- Work with various community support systems
- Handle emotionally charged situations with excellent interpersonal skills
- Train others to apply effective behavior management techniques
- Communicate critical client information to supervisors
- Maintain confidentiality of client treatment records
- Record client progress through data collection measures and summary sheets according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment materials, records, data sheets, and stimuli

- Minimum of high school diploma;
Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, occupational therapy, human services, speech and language, or closely related field preferred - Driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Understanding of a wide range of intellectual disabilities
- Experience with mindfulness or meditation work preferred
- Team player with ability to accept and implement feedback
- BLS and CPR Certified (preferred)
- RBT or BCAT Certified (preferred)
- CPI or NCI trained (preferred)
- Appropriate behavioral intervention strategies
- Learning theories and instructional methods
- Understanding of ethics, laws, and regulations related to behavior interventions
- Knowledge of developmental processes for children, adolescents, and adults
- Interpersonal skills for crisis management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Ability to assess situations and make proper judgments
- Ethical reaction to behavioral situations
- Objectively analyze crisis situations
- Respond quickly to emergencies
- Effective communication with agency staff and outside professionals, groups, or individuals
- Clerical duties including accurate record-keeping and report preparation
- Organizational skills
- Computer and behavioral software use for document preparation and record maintenance
- Independent work and decision-making within established guidelines
- Maintenance of client safety during treatment and crisis situations
- Professional demeanor with clients, parents, and colleagues
- Providing information by answering questions and requests
- Providing in‑home, community, and school educational and behavioral support
- Team effort contribution by accomplishing related results as needed
- Record and confidentiality maintenance under HIPAA and other privacy laws
- Daily email and scheduling software checks
- Maintenance of certificates and licenses
Work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force constantly to move objects. The use of arm and/or leg controls requires greater exertion than sedentary work; the worker sits most of the time. The job is rated for light work.
