What You’ll DoAs a Direct Support Professional, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, meaningful lives. You will help promote independence, safety, well-being, and personal growth while serving as a strong advocate for each client.
Essential Responsibilities- Follow and implement daily routines as outlined in each client’s Individual Program Plan (IPP)
- Assist with the development and achievement of IPP/ISP goals
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy living environment
- Support social, recreational, and community activities
- Assist with personal care (grooming, toileting, dressing, hygiene)
- Prepare meals and assist with clean‑up
- Transport clients using company vans as needed
- Report incidents and communicate with administrators
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of personal or professional caregiving experience
- Preferred: experience with developmental disabilities or mental health needs
- DSP Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 + CPI
- Preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months
- First Aid/CPR
- Preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Must pass all pre‑employment screenings
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
