This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Education Teacher based in Vacaville, CA. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Daily responsibilities include teaching, assessing student progress, collaborating with parents and other educators, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The teacher will work primarily with middle school students, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to succeed academically and socially.
- Proven knowledge and experience in working with students with disabilities
- Strong teaching skills, including curriculum development and lesson planning
- Experience and expertise in middle school education
- Special Education teaching certification and knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with parents, students, and school staff
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with diverse needs
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred
