Warehouse Technician – Part‑Time

Salary: £26,760 (pro‑rata)

Location:

Uxbridge

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting warehouse operations and any projects as assigned. This role supports the Warehouse Supervisor in meeting operational requirements and ensuring equipment meets company standards, handling shipping/receiving, quality control, inventory control and other warehouse logistics. The Technician reports to the Lead Warehouse Technician, Senior Warehouse Technician, Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager depending on function and region.

Key Job Responsibilities

Inbound/Outbound Order Processing

  • Accurately receive, ship and label product; pick and pack orders efficiently for delivery to venues, sites or other warehouses.
  • Perform basic QC procedures, maintain presentation of equipment and inventory control.
  • Clean, test, maintain, prepare and repair equipment prior to delivery.
  • Load and unload equipment to trucks.
  • Fault‑find and repair equipment, minimizing downtime.
  • Notify Warehouse Supervisor of defective equipment and arrange maintenance/repair schedules.

Logistics and Transportation

  • Prepare and process shipments to ship small parcel, LTL and via internal fleet.
  • Operate industrial powered forklifts (sit‑down, reach, stock picker, powered pallet jack).

Safety

  • Perform daily checklist on forklifts and other equipment.
  • Participate in safety team initiatives.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Report all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or Warehouse Manager.

Warehouse Housekeeping

  • Clean and maintain a safe work area.
  • Maintain equipment as necessary.

Customer Service

  • Deliver world‑class service while maintaining operational efficiency and cohesive relationships with other departments.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment.

Job Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GCSE equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs. independently.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication skills with team members, site leadership and customers.
  • Organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using an RF‑based WMS system (preferred).
  • Experience operating industrial forklift equipment.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore. Work may include exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand and/or dust. Conditions vary from moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Equipment includes high‑end audio visual systems and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on‑call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
