Overview
An exciting position has become available within the Radiology department for an MDT Coordinator. The post holder will be part of a highly skilled administrative team whose responsibilities are to support the clinical services within the radiology department in managing the daily demand and to effectively prioritise incoming referrals into urgent and non-urgent.
Responsibilities- Act as the Radiology MDT Coordinator by effectively managing 2WW ring-fenced slots in the radiology department for the utilisation of cancer pathway patients.
- Attend MDT & PTL and other meetings as required, take live minutes, track cancer patients through their pathway, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that data is processed in a timely and effective way.
- Support and attend tumour site patient tracking meetings through the preparation of patient tracking lists, capturing actions and following up progress via agreed escalation protocols.
- Provide cross‑cover to MDT meetings which may require travel across sites.
- Successful candidate will be assertive, confident, flexible and able to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail with a keen eye for data quality and a comprehensive understanding of MRI, CT, ultrasound modalities.
- Knowledge of clinical systems such as Cerner, Soliton, IEP and Somerset.
