We are seeking a Specialist Grade Doctor for Frays Ward, Acute Service at Riverside Centre at Hillingdon Hospital who is looking to increase their experience in psychiatry. The post holder will be expected to provide in-patient care for all patients admitted to the Frays Ward under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist. In addition, the post holder will be expected to undertake assessments, in conjunction with nursing or other members of the multi-disciplinary team, of those referred to the service.
This will include providing support and advice to referring services should admission not be required. The person should be a good communicator and works well in a team. They should have some experience and knowledge of physical health conditions.

Main duties of the jobFrays Ward is part of the Acute Service Line at Riverside Centre, on the Hillingdon Hospital site, which consists of the following:
- Frays Ward – 18 beds Acute Ward - male
- Crane Ward
-18 beds Acute Ward - female - Colne Ward – 8 beds PICU - male
Acute wards provide service to patients aged 18 and over who are residents of the London Boroughs of Hillingdon, whilst the Colne Ward is a Trust-wide provision. A proportion of patients come from other boroughs under the CNWL services, if no available beds were available at the time of admission. The nursing and medical teams are complemented by a range of therapy staff such as:
Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Sports instructor and Peer Support Worker.
