Consultant – General Adult Psychiatry West

Overview

Cpl UK Healthcare (formally RIG Locums) are currently looking for a General Adult Consultant, NHS based in Uxbridge, West London. The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry to work full-time or part-time hours per week. They accept CVs for both role separately. Your core responsibilities would be to help assess, diagnose, and oversee the mental health of patients in your care.

• Providing clinical leadership to the team
• Acting as Responsible Clinician for patients on community orders, including preparing reports for and attending Hospital Managers and Mental Health Review Tribunal hearings
• Participating in clinical and business meetings of the multidisciplinary team
• Participating in team learning / development events
• Assessing new referrals with other MDT members
• Providing phone advice for clinical staff
• Being available for emergency and home visits at short notice, and participating as necessary in Mental Health Act assessments
• Providing supervision as required for the clinical work of the trainees within the team
• Providing support and advice to colleagues of different professional backgrounds as required
