Senior Accountant - Boutique Firm - West London - up to £50k+ DOE

We're working with a long-established, boutique accountancy practice based in West London who are now seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. With 3 Partners, 15 staff and a friendly, down-to-earth culture, this is a great opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to step into a varied and rewarding role.

This firm combines the feel of a boutique practice with an impressive client base. With clients across software, charity, construction, entertainment, music and service charge sectors, they offer exposure to a diverse range of industries. Most clients are local, meaning minimal travel, with the furthest based in North London.

They're a social team too - from monthly lunches and spring socials, to their Christmas party meal and drinks, there's a strong team spirit and mix of ages and experience.

As Senior Accountant, you'll take ownership of a wide variety of client work, ranging from accounts preparation to VAT and audit review. With around 80% of clients providing trial balances, you'll need to be confident preparing accounts directly from these, as well as liaising with clients and supporting juniors in the team.

• Preparing and reviewing accounts (FRS 102 and FRS 102 1A) from TB
• Preparing corporate tax returns and personal tax returns
• Reviewing VAT returns
• Liaising directly with clients across varied sectors
• Supporting and reviewing the work of juniors as needed
• Assisting with audits (not essential)

• Accounts: IRIS
• Audit: MyWorkpapers (Mercia)
• Client turnovers range from £2M to £20M
• Diverse sectors - software, charity, construction, entertainment, music, and service charge

• ACA/ACCA finalist or qualified
• Strong ability to review and prepare accounts from TB
• Audit experience is a bonus, but not required
• Comfortable liaising with clients directly
• Practice background (SME or boutique firm) preferred

• Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 from home

• Stage 1: MS Teams interview with a Partner
• Stage 2: Short practical test (accounts, VAT, tax)
• Stage 3: In-person final interview
