Key Responsibilities- Transportation Support:
Assist in the coordination and execution of transportation services across campus and for college-related activities. - Ensure the safe and timely transport of students, faculty, and staff to various locations.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and operational efficiency. - Report any maintenance needs or safety issues to the appropriate department promptly.
- Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating college vehicles. - Implement safety protocols to ensure the well‑being of passengers and maintain a safe environment.
- Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service to all passengers, addressing any questions or concerns professionally and courteously. - Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles as needed.
- Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption. - Assist with scheduling and planning routes to optimize efficiency.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with team members and other departments to coordinate transportation needs. - Communicate effectively with supervisors and report any issues or challenges encountered during operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a transportation role or similar position preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle.
- Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
