Process and Chemical Engineering Industry Placement 2026 - 32745

Join the Environment Agency for a 12‑month industry placement starting in September 2026. This placement offers hands‑on experience in Regulated Industry teams, supporting UK businesses to reduce environmental impacts and improve process safety.

The role includes full training, equipment, a pension contribution of ~19%, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, full‑time hybrid working, and time back for overtime.

    Experience & Skills Required

    We seek candidates with a genuine interest in the environment and a passion for creating a better place for people and wildlife. Curiosity, flexibility and determination are key.

    • Studying (or having studied) a Chemical or Process Engineering degree accredited by IChemE.

    Experience from volunteering, sports or clubs is also valued.

    Eligibility Criteria
    • UK, Commonwealth or EEA national with the right to work in the UK.
    • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree, an integrated master’s programme, or have graduated within the last year (from June 2025 onwards).
