This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established earthworks and civils contractor operating as a true "one-stop shop" across civil engineering, earthworks, plant hire, aggregates, and surveying.

This established contractor has been operating for over 15 years and has built a strong reputation delivering a wide variety of projects for high-quality clients. With steady, controlled growth and a collaborative working environment, the business is now looking to strengthen its estimating function as part of its continued expansion.

In this role, you will work closely with a Senior Estimator, taking full ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission. You will be involved in take-offs, pricing, supply chain engagement, and client liaison, while playing a key role in securing new projects and supporting the long-term growth of the estimating team.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience estimating within civils or earthworks, with the ability to manage tenders independently and communicate confidently with clients and internal stakeholders. Training is available on specialist areas such as earthworks and soil stabilisation, as well as internal systems and software.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator seeking stability, responsibility, and clear progression options within a respected contractor.

The Role:

Managing tenders from initial enquiry through to completion
Preparing take-offs, pricing schedules, and tender documentation
Assessing and prioritising incoming enquiries
Engaging with supply chain, subcontractors, and internal teams
Preparing professional tender submissions including programmes and clarifications
Supporting value engineering and commercial input
Ensuring accurate, robust, and competitive pricing
Leading smooth handovers to construction teams
Office-based role with occasional site visits

The Person :

Experience as an Estimator within civils or earthworks
Strong all-round understanding of the estimating process
Confident managing tenders independently from start to finish
Good client-facing and communication skills
Methodical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
Looking for long-term progression, either into team growth or technical specialism
Able to commute to the Uttoxeter office
