Dit ga je doen
You will join a multidisciplinary biomedical research team and contribute to experimental and preclinical studies on brain injury, neuroplasticity, cerebral blood flow, and behavior in rodent stroke models. You will perform microsurgical procedures, physiological recordings, behavioral assessments, and histological analyses, working closely with experts in neuroscience and imaging. In addition, you will support the coordination, monitoring, and administration of animal experiments and manage laboratory protocols.
Hierga je werken
The Translational Neuroimaging group is a dynamic team of biologists, physicists, chemists, physicians and computer scientists who carry out experimental and translational (neuro) imaging research. We have access to two state-of-the-art animal MRI scanners, an optical imaging system, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and electrophysiology equipment, dedicated animal surgery facilities and a behavioral testing laboratory.
Our projects are part of (inter) national collaborations with preclinical and clinical researchers working in different disciplines.
Dit neem je mee- You are an enthusiastic and communicative biotechnician (art. 13f.2 or similar) with experience in animal research, including microsurgical procedures, rodent behavior testing and administration of experimental protocols.
- Experience with microvascular procedures, such as middle cerebral artery occlusion, in rats or mice would be particularly advantageous.
- You are able to work conscientiously and independently, and participate in various research projects as a flexible team-player.
- You take initiatives, can handle multiple tasks, and enjoy working with highly motivated international researchers.
