Group Financial Controller

• Establish and lead a high-performing Group Finance function
• Working for a growing, international and PE-backed business.

Our client is a leading pan-European supplier of custom-branded merchandise and promotional goods to a very diverse B2B customer base.

• Group Reporting & Technical Accounting:
  Own consolidation and reporting, ensure IFRS compliance, prepare statutory accounts, and provide technical guidance.
• Controls, Risk & Data Governance:
  Champion strong controls and data governance across finance.
• External Audit & Stakeholder Management:
  Lead global audit program and manage relationships with auditors and investors.
• M&A, and Integration: provide technical support for potential acquisitions (OBS, PPA, Finance Integration, Earn-outs, etc.).
• FP&A Partnership:
  Support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
• Systems & Data:
  Optimize consolidation tools and ERP data integrity.
• Leadership & Talent:
  Build and mentor a global team.

• 7+ years of experience in senior Group Controller roles within international, multi‑site organisations;
• ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification or an equivalent professional certification;
• Strong technical expertise in IFRS, including complex consolidation matters;
• Proven experience working in private‑equity‑owned businesses or portfolio companies, with a strong understanding of PE reporting expectations and governance;
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical capabilities;
• Experience with consolidation systems (e.g., HFM or similar tools);
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels;
• Demonstrated ability in driving performance and elevating finance standards;
• Proven relationship‑building skills across diverse teams and stakeholders;
• High degree of resilience, able to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment;
• A leadership style grounded in curiosity, continuous improvement and proactive problem‑solving.
