Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of medical products, providing surgical supplies, medical devices, and solutions for healthcare professionals worldwide.
Job DescriptionThe Director of Controlling is responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, and internal control activities across the EMEA region. This includes:
- Leading all accounting (US GAAP), reporting, and SOX compliance activities across the EMEA region.
- Co‑leading ERP implementation and finance transformation initiatives.
- Acting as the regional leader of controllership, ensuring strong governance, process standardization, and alignment with global financial strategies, while fostering high‑performance teams across EMEA.
- Collaborating with the M&A team on potential future projects and leading post‑merger finance integration initiatives.
- Managing regional finance organizations across EMEA and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Experienced Accounting and/or Financial Controlling leader with a strategic approach and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA preferred or overseas equivalent.
- Proven experience in US GAAP, local statutory reporting, and SOX/internal controls over financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in people management with the ability to teach, mentor, and influence others.
- Experience in leading ERP implementation and/or finance transformation projects.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes (primarily within EMEA; occasional US trips possible).
- Fluency in English is essential;
Dutch is a plus.
