Serve as Election Judge on the Native Village of Barrow Election.

• Set up polling areas on Election Day.
• Must take an oath of honesty, faithfully, and promptly to perform the duties of an election official.
• Officially open and close polling places.
• Obtain signatures from voters on precinct register.
• Hand out election ballots.
• Watch voters deposit ballots into ballot box, or deposit voter’s ballot on the voter’s behalf if requested.
• Make sure voters do not leave the polling place with official ballots.
• Assist voters who are voting as a “question ballot” or voting as “disabled voter”.
• Tally votes after polling place closes.

Perform other duties as assigned

Required to speak and understand both the Inupiat and English language.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
