Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Eve Shift)
Location: Utica, NY, 13502
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 10hr Eve
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2,320 - $2,520; (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week assignment in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma and neuro cases, and must be proficient in working within a fast-paced surgical environment. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, teamwork, and patient care skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Prepare operating room equipment and instruments prior to surgery
- Monitor patient's vital signs and condition throughout procedures
- Collaborate with surgical team members, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile field and infection control protocols
- Document all nursing care accurately and timely in the EPIC EMR system
- Assist in emergency surgeries as needed, especially in trauma or neuro cases
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
- Documented travel nursing experience
- Licensure:
- Active New York RN license (required)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - preferred
- Specialty Experience:
- Trauma and Neuro surgical case experience - required
- EMR Experience:
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR - required
- Will accept local candidates.
