Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Utica, NY (13-week Travel Assignment)

Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Utica, NY | 13-week travel nursing assignment. NY RN license required, 2+ years Med/Surg experience, EPIC charting and AHA BLS preferred. Join our healthcare team delivering exceptional adult surgical recovery care in Central New York.

• Location: Utica, NY 13502 – Central New York (One of many New York nursing jobs in the region)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
• Role/Setting: Travel Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit – 6th Floor
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1970 - $2080 per week
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-site clinical role
• Floating: Required as needed (must be flexible to support other units)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (NY RN)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Experience with EPIC EMR / EPIC charting
• Completed skills checklist matching the Med/Surg specialty
• Valid driver’s license with matching address
• NURSYS report available for license verification

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients recovering from surgical procedures (post-op care, bariatric, orthopedic, GI, and general surgery cases)
• Manage specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
• Perform accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR (electronic medical record)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float to other units as required to support staffing needs and continuity of care
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to infection control standards
