- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Critical Care (Travel Nurse)
- Location: Utica, NY 13502 — Central New York (Adirondacks access)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse assignment)

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am) — Night Shift ICU RN
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Unit: 42-bed ICU (Neuro/Med, CTICU, Surg/Trauma) — high-acuity critical care
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,100 - $2,210 per week
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU — recent travel nurse experience preferred
- Active NY RN license (NURSYS verification required) — New York nursing jobs applicants only
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required;
NxStage experience a plus - Cardiac/heart experience highly preferred (CTICU / post-STEMI care)
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to float to all ICU units as needed (except Behavioral and ER unless holding)
- Up-to-date resume documenting travel and ICU experience
- Skills checklist matching specialty
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment — ICU RN responsibilities include assessment, intervention, and critical decision-making
- Monitor, assess, and treat patients with complex diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, trauma, and major post-op cases
- Operate and manage advanced ICU equipment such as IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage), ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Artic Sun)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, PT/OT) to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to various ICU subunits as needed to support patient care demands and maintain continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols; participate in unit-based performance improvement initiatives
- Participate in travel nurse orientation and onboarding to ensure a smooth transition into the ICU team
