Registered Nurse- ICU (Night Shift)
- Location: Utica, NY, 13502
- Duration: 8-week Contract
- Shift: 12-hr Night Shift | 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay: $2,232 - $2,412;
Based on experience (Negotiable)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team for a night shift assignment in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience and be proficient in managing critically ill patients in various ICU settings.
Experience with CRRT, Prismaflex, and cardiac/heart patients is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions and respond to changes in patient status.
- Operate and manage CRRT machines (Prismaflex) and other critical care equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document all patient care accurately in EPIC EMR.
- Float to similar units as required.
- Serve as a resource and leader to other nursing staff if acting as Charge Nurse.
- Active NY RN License (and all other active RN licenses).
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience:
- Medical-Surgical ICU
- Trauma ICU
- Surgical ICU (SICU)
- Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU)
- Neuro ICU
- Prior travel RN experience.
- Current certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
- EMR
Experience:
EPIC required. - Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required.
- Heart patient experience highly preferred.
- Charge Nurse experience preferred.
- Ability and willingness to float as needed.
- Will accept local candidates.
- Local pay rates will apply to candidates residing within 75 miles.
