Job Description

The Emergency Department (ED) operates 64 beds, providing care for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. This position requires a skilled RN with charge capability and experience in managing acute patient conditions, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Coordinate patient triage and treatment in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and documentation standards.
• Float to different areas within the ED as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, including pediatric experience.
• Current and active NY RN license and all relevant RN licenses.
• Recent charge or manager RN references.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• EMR experience required: EPIC.
• A skills checklist matching the specialty.
