IMCU/PCU Registered Nurse - Night Shift Location
New York
Assignment DurationThis is a 90-day contract position.
ScheduleNight shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Job DescriptionThe IMCU/PCU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients with common diagnoses such as Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory conditions, including COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, and post-operative care. The unit consists of 64 beds with 15 designated for Neuro patients. The nurse will be required to float between units as needed and work with specialized equipment including Temp pacers, Chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo.
Experience with chronic vents is necessary, and respiratory therapy will assist with management.
- Deliver direct patient care in an IMCU/PCU setting.
- Monitor patients’ conditions using specialized equipment and plan and implement care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document and maintain patient records accurately and in compliance with regulations.
- Assist with safe patient transitions and discharges.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
- Documented travel experience as an RN.
- Active NY RN License and all other relevant RN licensure verified through NURSYS.
- Current certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- 2 recent references from IMCU Charge/Manager RNs.
- Skills checklist matching specialty required.
- Drivers license with address matching demographic information.
