Job Summary:
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse delivers rapid, high-quality nursing care to patients across the lifespan in a high-acuity emergency setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to respond effectively to life-threatening situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and continuous monitoring of patient conditions.
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions for critical conditions.
• Operate specialty emergency equipment and support trauma and resuscitation efforts.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat patients.
• Accurately document patient care and clinical outcomes in the electronic medical record.
• Float to other areas as needed to support departmental operations.
• May function in a charge nurse capacity when required.

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience – Required
• Pediatric ED experience – Required
• Prior travel nursing experience with documentation – Required
• Charge nurse capability – Highly Preferred
• EPIC EMR experience – Required
• Ability to care for patients with conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Experience using specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Floating required
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Local candidates accepted (local rate applies for candidates within 75 miles)
