CFO - Chief Financial Officer

Description We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team on a contract basis in Utica, New York. This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial health and strategy of the organization, ensuring efficient management of resources and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership and demonstrate expertise in areas such as cash flow analysis, capital management, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals.

- Monitor and analyze cash flow to ensure optimal resource allocation and financial stability.

- Oversee capital management and investment planning to maximize returns.

- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and present findings to stakeholders.

- Collaborate with leadership to align financial initiatives with broader business objectives.

- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

- Evaluate and enhance business systems to improve operational efficiency.

- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate financial exposure.

- Lead financial audits and provide guidance to internal teams. Requirements - Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a CFO.

- Expertise in cash flow analysis and capital management.

- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

- Familiarity with business systems and their integration into financial processes.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
