Position Summary

Inspect boxes for damage, ensure boxes have all parts (foam inserts, etc.). Paints boxes and cover labels.

Essential duties and responsibilities (3-5 core functions representing 80% of time spent)

Inspect boxes for damage.

Ensure boxes have appropriate packaging such as foam inserts or other packaging materials.

Prepare boxes for painting.

Paint boxes to cover all previous shipping or mailing labels.

May serve as back‑up support to the Utah IRS Mailroom as needed.

Must wear the protective equipment required by the department.

Must follow all company policies and procedures including departmental safety policies.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Responsible for providing materials and storage of finished goods to all workstations.

Ensures that workstations are not waiting for supplies, materials, and storage of materials. Ensure lines are always moving.

Qualifications (Minimum education, experience, training, licensure, certification)

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
• Previous general labor experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a security clearance.
• Legally blind or low vision strongly encouraged to apply.

Overall physical requirements

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are more than those for Light Work.
