A maintenance mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment with Sorrel River Ranch & Spa. Performing routing preventative maintenance checks, troubleshooting malfunctions, and ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems by utilizing various hand and power tools, all while adhering to safety regulations.

• Providing maintenance repairs to resort facilities. Repairs may include plumbing, kitchen, mechanical, laundry, electrical, landscaping, HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of equipment and components.
• Maintain all refrigeration, HVAC, Kitchen, and laundry equipment.
• Work independently and as a team with and around mechanical and chemical systems.
• Working independently and as a team with electrical voltages up to and including 480‑voltcircuits and controls.
• Working independently and as a team with refrigerants.
• Use of appropriate hand tools, such as drills, hammers, knives, wrenches, and screwdrivers, etc.
• Working in hot and cold environments.
• Use of all personal protections equipment’s (PPE), lock out tag out and all necessary safety equipment.
• Able to work with systems such as telephone switches, guest and employee internet networks, guest room door lock systems, and work order systems.
• Receive directions from management on daily assignments or projects and complete them in a timely manner.
• Receive directions for house calls via radio and respond promptly and appropriately.
• Complete appropriate documents and logs for work assigned daily.
• Any other tasks assigned.

• Previous general maintenance experience in a hotel setting.
• Previous HVAC, mechanical, plumbing maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment is required; commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.
• Previous experience with response to emergency situations.
• Thorough working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Good communications, diligence, time management, and guest satisfaction skills are required.
• Ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, kneel and bend over for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
