At Lees Market Place, the Floral Clerk assists with floral department operations by creating floral arrangements, maintaining product freshness, and delivering excellent guest service. This role supports floral sales and special event designs while ensuring the department remains clean, organized, and visually appealing.

• Greet customers and assist them in selecting floral arrangements, plants, and gift items. Take custom orders and ensure accurate fulfillment.
• Design and create custom floral arrangements for retail sale, special orders, and events.
• Process event orders (weddings, funerals, dances) under Floral Manager direction.
• Provide knowledgeable and friendly assistance, addressing customer needs and concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing workspace and displays.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down floral displays for in‑store merchandising and promotions.
• Support team collaboration to achieve store goals and uphold Lee’s Market Place Mission and Core Values.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations, report any hazards or injuries.

• Ability to stand, walk, twist, sit, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for handling small objects and operating equipment.
• Repetitive use of hands and arms to push, pull, carry, lift, reach, grip, and balance.
• Occasionally stoop, crouch, kneel, or crawl.
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Ability to distinguish colors, shapes, and details for design work and quality control.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the store.
• Lifting may include floor to shoulder and overhead lifting repeatedly.
• Occasional use and climbing of step stools or ladders are required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Floral design experience required.
• Knowledge of flower/plant care and floral arrangement techniques.
• Wedding, funeral, and event design experience preferred.
• Strong visual design skills with an eye for color, balance, and trends.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, orders, and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to implement solutions quickly and effectively.
• Strong self‑motivation and ability to work independently.
