Position: Adventure Guide
Location: Kamas

The Talisker Club Adventures Guide (TAG) is responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and memorable outdoor experiences for club members across a wide range of seasonal activities. This role requires a passion for outdoor adventure, a deep respect for the natural environment, and the ability to work professionally with guests of all ages and skill levels. Guides serve as ambassadors of Talisker Club's commitment to excellence, hospitality, and an outdoor lifestyle.

We are hiring both full-time and part-time positions for the Summer season.

Responsibilities
  • As a TAG you will be responsible for guiding and/or assisting with the following activities:
  • Summer season:
    Boating (wake surf/wakeboard/waterski/tubing), mountain biking, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, archery & axe throwing, indoor rock-climbing.
  • Winter season:
    Snowmobiling, tubing (including cat driving), snowshoeing, xc skiing and fat biking.
  • Provide instruction and support appropriate to members’ skill levels (beginner to expert) and physical capacity (moderate to strenuous), while maintaining a high standard of safety and enjoyment.
  • Able to assist and instruct Talisker Club Members in the proper use of various pieces of recreational equipment (bicycles, paddle boards, climbing equipment, etc.).
  • Prepare and inspect all equipment before use to ensure safety and readiness; follow established checklists and proactively report maintenance or equipment issues to management.
  • Monitor and respond to changing weather and trail conditions to ensure member safety at all times.
  • Serve as a first responder during trips, administering first aid as necessary, managing emergency situations, and maintaining accurate incident records.
  • Perform administrative tasks including managing member bookings, emails, phone calls, and Point-of-Sale system duties.
  • Perform off-season duties including equipment cleaning, maintenance, relocation, and inventory tracking.
  • Participate in trail maintenance.
  • Act as an ambassador for Talisker Club, delivering exceptional and personalized member experiences on every outing.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other Talisker Club departments and Third-Party Vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Passion for the outdoors and personal experience in one or more of the Talisker Club activities offered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Calm under pressure and attentive to safety; strong problem-solving abilities and judgement.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules, conditions, and guest needs.
  • Must be able and willing to work on weekends, holidays, and evenings as assigned.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.

PREFERRED:

  • Work experience guiding hiking, mountain biking, and/or paddle boarding.
  • Previous experience driving motorboats, especially in a work environment.
  • Previous private club or resort experience.
  • Current WFR (or greater) and CPR certification.
Additional Information WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
  • Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and be physically active for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to assist with equipment setup, transport, and maintenance.
  • Must be able to operate work vehicles and power tools.
