Events & Digital Promotion Coordinator

This is a part-time position (up to 29 hours per week) supporting the City’s civic events programs and efforts to reach out to the public through all means of written and electronic communication.

• Support citizen committees, volunteers, City staff and the public in the City’s efforts to carry out City events and related communications.
• Create and distribute written and electronic communication materials for City events.
• Assist with digital promotion, including content creation for social media platforms.
• Collaborate with City departments to coordinate event planning and execution.

• Experience and/or college-level coursework in communications, public relations, marketing, graphic design, digital media, branding, content creation for social media, and event planning and coordination.
• Experience in public‑sector or community‑focused settings preferred; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field highly preferred, but not required.

Current compensation is $24 per hour and may be adjusted depending on qualifications. Work schedule is flexible, with some office hours required.
