Forklift Operator
Location: Richmond
Traffic Support Master Receiving (CDL Required) | 2nd shift | $28.25 Primary Responsibilities
- Setting up, loading, unloading, or warehousing of product or supplies with a forklift.
- Operating a forklift in narrow aisles and safely transporting materials to and from various production equipment locations.
- Driving a diesel tractor trailer between the Richmond Plant and outside warehouse facilities as needed, including moving trailers in the yard.
- Operating a pallet jack as required.
- Maintaining warehouse and transaction accuracy, production reporting, and inventories of product and supplies.
- Using SAP for data entry on forklift computer terminals, handhelds, and desktop computers.
- Keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly; assisting in collecting quality control samples and carrying out other clerical duties as assigned.
- Conducting safety inspections of the forklift each shift and completing the safety inspection form.
- Qualifying as a forklift operator by passing a medical exam, written, and practical exams.
- Repetitively loading and unloading ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrating a working knowledge of standard safety and operation procedures for lift trucks.
- Possibly working at alternate facility locations in North Logan or Logan, or working Saturdays/Sundays.
- Being required to work other shifts as assigned.
- Maintaining a clean work environment and performing occasional janitorial duties (sweeping, mopping, etc.).
- Complying with all site and equipment safety and quality good manufacturing practices guidelines.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Active Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Forklift operation experience.
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $28.25. Individual base pay depends on work location and other factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
