Receiving

POSITION OVERVIEW

Inspect and receive all incoming product and material.

Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by management, and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific Tarter site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):

• Unload, inspect, and receive deliveries.
• Recognize products that fail quality standards.
• Verify and sign for deliveries.
• Work with other departments to resolve problems that arise.
• Organize, store, and maintain product on site in accordance with 5’s standards.
• Maintain records of orders, deliveries, etc.

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Effective interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required.

• Familiarity with quality standards and processes to follow.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Ability to handle stress.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
• Physical dexterity and experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklifts, Yard Truck, JLG, etc).
• Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory.
• Proficient in English.
• Excellent attention to detail.

• Receiving works in all weather conditions; this Includes rain, snow, and sleet along with extreme hot and cold temperatures.
