PM Maintenance Lead​/Mechanic

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Lead preventative maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and well‑planned equipment care.
• Work under the direction of the Shop Manager and Shop Foreman.
• Maintain strict PPE compliance in both shop and field environments.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and certifications.
• Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance (R&M) activities.
• Use CMMS software to manage work orders and PM service needs.
• Prioritize repairs based on asset needs, cost, and downtime.
• Assign tasks according to mechanic skill level and job complexity.
• Order parts and supplies; manage purchase orders, invoices, and computer‑based job functions.
• Communicate with Operations and provide updates on equipment status and repair timelines.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Support a team‑oriented work environment and assist with additional duties as needed.
• Maintain reliable, consistent attendance.

• Plan, assign, and direct daily work for PM personnel.
• Develop team members’ technical and leadership skills.
• Manage performance through coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
• Address issues and resolve problems promptly.
• Delegate effectively and manage time and scheduling to ensure productivity.

• Current CDL or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of related mechanical experience or equivalent training.
• Experience operating a fuel‑lube truck and managing PM schedules.
• Proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, Cat ET, Cummins Insite, and Detroit diagnostic programs.
