Rocky Vista University in Ivins, UT is hiring a Facilities and Grounds Technician (Part-Time).
Salary: $21.85 - $23.50 per hour.

The Facilities and Grounds Technician assists the Manager of Facilities and Grounds in planning, coordinating, and overseeing the operation of RVU’s facilities, custodial and grounds services, lighting systems, and campus usage safety.

• Keep records of safety system inspections and maintenance.
• Assist in scheduling regular facility evaluations and maintenance.
• Recommend improvements and modifications for custodial staff.
• Schedule outside contractor work for landscaping, plumbing, lighting, door closures, and security.
• Monitor and maintain the lighting schedule and HVAC management system.
• Submit maintenance project requests to the Manager.
• Develop and maintain a 24‑7 building usage coverage plan with technicians.
• Oversee facility usage by personnel and groups, including set‑ups, tear‑downs, and clean‑up.
• Monitor and maintain the irrigation system and grounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Assist administration, faculty and staff in special projects as needed.
• Continue education programs through plumbing and lighting vendors, keeping RVU up to code standards.

• Good organizational skills and ability to assess processes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safely operate and maintain power tools and equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Professional demeanor and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work with confidential material.

• Perform repetitive motion and lift up to 70 lbs. with or without accommodation.
• Ascend and descend ladders of various heights with or without accommodation.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of experience in maintenance, landscaping or facilities duties.

• Construction management, electrical, HVAC, plumbing coursework and two years of hands‑on maintenance experience.
• Three to five years of experience with facility monitoring and maintenance systems.
