WCF Insurance, an "A" rated carrier growing throughout the western states, has an immediate opening for a Bodily Injury & Liability Claims Adjuster to join our Commercial Claims team at our Sandy, Utah headquarters. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Commercial Auto Claims Manager and offers the opportunity for hybrid work (Tuesday through Thursday in-office).

We are open to hiring at the Senior Adjuster or Adjuster level, depending upon experience. We are looking for someone who embodies WCF's core values: doing the right thing, being great at your job, and helping others succeed.

Responsibilities

The Liability/Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster manages a commercial auto liability claim caseload of moderate to high complexity and exposure, from first assignment to conclusion of the claim process. This includes appropriate investigation, analysis, and explanation of coverage applicable to the claim's elements. The person in this position communicates claims decisions and key developments to policyholders, claimants, and attorneys.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of insurance industry designations;
  • At least two years of commercial liability claims adjusting experience;
  • Understanding of the Unfair Claims Practices Act, policy contracts, and other insurance principles;
  • Familiarity with claims management systems and claims estimating software systems;
  • Sound literacy in the medical, automotive, and liability terminology and concepts;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Organization, time-management, and decision-making skills;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Windows operating system.
  • Valid Driver's License.

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
