Business Analyst; AI & Application Development

This role will assist in the technical management of software products across all customers and deliver critical business outcomes.
This role must be able to work onsite at Capital Rock's North Salt Lake, UT headquarters. Primary responsibilities include designing and coding business logic to the application to support industry trends and regulations, understanding financial service products in the marketplace, and working with customers and third parties. Code languages used on a daily basis include a propriety XML language, JSON and basic JavaScript.

• Create and update rules, business logic and content for software applications
• Review and manage customer reported bugs which includes troubleshooting and identifying underlying issue
• Understand financial services industry terms and processes
• Responsible for writing clear and concise user stories, tickets and acceptance criteria in adherence of Agile Scrum methodology that clearly capture what our customers want and help engineering bring them to life in software.
• Participate in Agile Scrum routines: standups, sprint and release planning.
• Manage adjustments in the application’s user interface “UI” using internal tools.
• Work collaboratively with product managers, developers, marketing/sales and management on new features
• Assist testing process and work closely with our Product engineering team to make sure the products are built as per specification and customer needs.
• Execute on routine quarterly product updates that support standard business cycle
• Document new and existing system processes that relate to business logic best practices
• Work with Product Manager(s) to prioritize and resolve any issues arising from released products and features
• Proactively explore data and identify opportunities to improve existing products and features.

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

• 1-2 years of basic to intermediate coding experience such as SQL, VBA JavaScript, JSON (Willing to teach/train if there is coding aptitude, but not quite 1-2 years experience)
• 1-2 years of experience in technical support, computer science or business analytics
• Proven experience of being able to own ambiguous tasks and work through challenging projects
• Financial services product knowledge, Series 6/7 beneficial.
