Overview

Black Desert Resort is an ultra-premium destination resort in Southern Utah featuring expansive pool decks, luxury cabanas, outdoor lounges, and seasonal food and beverage service. The pool environment is a high-visibility guest touchpoint and plays a critical role in delivering a refined resort experience.

The Seasonal Pool Supervisor is a hands‑on leader responsible for overseeing daily pool food and beverage service operations while ensuring the pool area remains clean, organized, stocked, and guest‑ready at all times.

Job Summary

The Seasonal Pool Supervisor – Full‑Time oversees daily poolside food and beverage operations during the seasonal pool period. This role leads pool servers, bartenders, and attendants while ensuring exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.

In addition to supervising F&B service, this position is responsible for maintaining overall pool deck presentation, organization, cleanliness, and proper stocking of towels and guest amenities. The Pool Supervisor works closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Public Areas to ensure the pool environment reflects Black Desert Resort’s ultra‑premium standards.

Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00/hour. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities including but not limited to

  • Supervise and support poolside servers, bartenders, and attendants during daily operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service across pool decks and cabanas.
  • Lead daily pre‑shift briefings, outlining service expectations and operational priorities.
  • Monitor pool deck cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the day.
  • Ensure towel stations are stocked, organized, and maintained in partnership with Housekeeping.
  • Coordinate removal of debris, used towels, glassware, and service items to maintain a clean environment.
  • Support proper setup and breakdown of cabanas, loungers, umbrellas, and service stations.
  • Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and accurate posting of charges to guest folios.
  • Monitor inventory levels for pool bar and service stations, ensuring adequate product availability.
  • Partner with Engineering and Public Areas to address maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, service recovery needs, and special requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist in planning and executing poolside events and activations.
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, safety policies, and resort standards.
  • Uphold Black Desert Resort’s ultra‑premium hospitality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous serving experience in luxury hospitality, resort, or poolside environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, cocktails, and wine preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a high‑energy, outdoor environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and guest service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Must meet legal age requirements for alcohol service and possess any required state/local certifications.
  • Must hold or obtain Food Handler and Alcohol Server permits.
