Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (18:00 – 06:00)
Schedule: Unique "6 days on / 8 days off" rotation
Job SummaryA Level IV Trauma Center and critical access community hospital, is looking for a versatile RRT to join their cardiopulmonary team. In this rural setting, you will be a key member of the emergency and acute care teams, providing life-sustaining respiratory interventions for a wide age range, from neonates in the nursery to geriatrics in the ICU.
Key Responsibilities- Emergency & Trauma: Perform rapid triage and respiratory stabilization for patients entering the ED. Communicate critical changes in status directly to ED physicians.
- Intensive Care: Manage and monitor ventilated patients in the ICU, including the titration of oxygen and airway pressures.
- Diagnostics: Conduct bedside Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) draws and analysis, EKGs, and pulmonary function screenings.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Administer nebulizer treatments, perform chest physiotherapy (CPT), and manage CPAP/BiPAP therapy.
- Neonatal Support: Provide respiratory support in the nursery/OB as needed during high-risk deliveries or neonatal distress.
- Documentation: Utilize Cerner EMR for all charting, orders, and treatment tracking.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, though the facility will consider candidates with less than 1 year of experience if they demonstrate strong clinical competency.
- Licensure: Active Utah State Respiratory Therapist License is mandatory.
- Credentials: Valid NBRC Credential (RRT or CRT) in good standing.
- Certifications: * BLS (AHA).
- ACLS (AHA).
- Skills: Ability to work independently (especially on the night shift) and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Bed Size: 33–49 beds (General Acute Care).
- Care Setting: Rural Community Hospital serving Duchesne and Uintah counties.
- Department Location: The Respiratory Department is located just north of Radiology on the Level 1 main campus.
- Technology: Equipped with Mindray monitoring and Cerner EMR.
- Address: 210 W 300 N, Roosevelt, UT 84066.
- Quick Start: Requisition is active for immediate placement
- Unique Schedule: The 6-on/8-off rotation offers significant blocks of time off, making it ideal for commuters or those looking to explore the nearby Uinta Mountains.
- Holiday Coverage: Required if your "6-on" block falls during a holiday.
