Moab Regional Hospital is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join the team at our newly completed Portal Pharmacy
, a state‑of‑the‑art retail pharmacy serving the Moab community.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver excellent patient‑centered pharmacy care in one of Utah’s most scenic locations.
Schedule- Approximately 40 hours per week with variable shifts
- Must be available for required holiday coverage:
- Thanksgiving: 11/26/2025 – 11/30/2025
- New Year’s: 12/31/2025 – 1/2/2026
- Monday–Saturday: 9:30 AM – 8:30 PM
- Sunday: 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Oversee day‑to‑day retail pharmacy operations in compliance with all federal and state regulations
- Manage and audit inventory to ensure availability, minimize waste, and optimize cost efficiency
- Collaborate with suppliers and wholesalers for medication orders and transaction tracking
- Maintain compliance with the 340B Drug Pricing Program
- Accurately interpret, verify, and dispense prescriptions
- Conduct medication reviews and interaction checks
- Maintain accurate patient medication records and ensure confidentiality
- Administer immunizations under approved protocols
- Provide consultations and medication counseling to patients and families
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication therapy management
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and students
- Stay current with hospital and licensure education requirements
- Represent the pharmacy in local health events and community outreach programs
- Foster relationships with local providers and community stakeholders
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current and unrestricted Utah Pharmacist License (RPh)
- Licensure to dispense controlled substances in Utah
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and compliance
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience in a retail/community pharmacy setting
- APhA Immunization Certification
