Job Summary:
Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions across multiple industries, is seeking a Fanuc Robotic Arm Technician. The Fanuc Robotic Arm Technician is responsible for programming, maintaining, and optimizing robotic arm systems used in automated vehicle and trailer connection operations. This role supports high-reliability automation by integrating tooling, validating system performance, and resolving technical issues in both shop and field environments.
Role will be based in Northern Utah, but will require up to 50% travel to client sites throughout the U.S.
- Program, configure, and maintain Fanuc robotic arm systems.
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams on tooling and mechanical integration.
- Develop and deploy solutions for reliable air and power line connection and disconnection between vehicle and trailer systems.
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot robotic performance in real-world operating conditions.
- Travel to field locations to diagnose and resolve technical issues using structured problem-solving methods.
- Collaborate with cross-functional hardware and software teams to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Support system deployments, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation for programming changes, configurations, and testing results.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Fanuc Robotic Arm certification.
- Fanuc 2D and/or 3D Vision System certification preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience programming and deploying Fanuc robotic arms in industrial or automation environments.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to client sites throughout the U.S.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Working knowledge of software, control systems, and basic database concepts.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective time management.
- Experience with automated vehicle, logistics, or industrial automation systems.
- Prior mentoring or technical leadership experience.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in robotic operations.
