Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Energetics Engineer / Principal Energetics Engineer – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Promontory, UT.

• Understand the design intent, failure modes, requirements and specifications of the product as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections.
• Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies/procedures to assure compliance/resolve non-conformances and will serve as liaison between Mission Assurance and various internal and external organizations, including some government agencies.
• Work directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, process control, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing.
• Must be able to work in manufacturing environment, including accessing stairs and work platforms.
• Other duties as assigned

This position will work a 4/10 schedule, with every Friday off.

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.

• STEM Bachelor’s degree (mechanical, chemical, or aerospace preferred) with 2 years of relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Prior experience in Quality Assurance/ Quality Engineering.
• Prior experience in Chemical Processes and Engineering Design.
• Experience in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Engineering, GD&T and SPC.
• Experience with AS9100/IS9001.
• Experience in Tooling/special equipment.

• STEM Bachelor’s degree (mechanical, chemical, or aerospace preferred) with 5 years of relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Prior experience in Quality Assurance/ Quality Engineering.
• Prior experience in Chemical Processes and Engineering Design.
• Experience in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Engineering, GD&T and SPC.
• Experience with AS9100/IS9001.
• Experience in Tooling/special equipment.
