Position: Mechanical Plumbing Engineer/Designer (3-5 years)

We are looking for a Mechanical Plumbing Engineer or Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. Ideal applicants will be familiar in aspects of plumbing design and/or engineering. The desired individual should have a desire to work collaboratively as part of a multi-discipline engineering team.

The mission of this role is to fill a key place in our plumbing design team focused on significant large scale mid-rise and high-rise residential projects. Experience in healthcare, education, data centers, and other target markets is also ideal. This Designer will want to grow as a technical leader, helping execute complex project design and while mentoring other staff. They will help us execute increasingly diverse and sophisticated projects while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and innovation.

Compensation and Benefits:

* Approximate Base Salary - 85k-100k based on experience

* Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate

* Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance

* Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)

* 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution

Qualifications

* Minimum of 3 years of experience designing plumbing systems for multi-family residential or commercial buildings. Los Angeles or California experience (preferred)

* B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college in related field (preferred).

* California EIT Registration (preferred)

* Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing

* Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Capable of performing engineering and/or design work with supervision.

* Experienced with the latest release of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and other CAD and BIM tools common to the discipline.

* Works from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and simple isometric drawings.

* Capable of designing domestic water calculations and multi-system riser diagrams.

* Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.

* Able to design layouts, details, and overall system design for typical, discipline-specific systems.

* Able to perform field observations and reports

* Able to work with numerous project teams to assist with project completion.

* Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices.

* Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

* Detail oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy.

* Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

* Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

* Performs other duties as may be assigned.
