Overview

In this Substitute role, you will step into the classroom on an as-needed basis to support the teaching staff in delivering educational activities, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting the children's social, emotional, and academic development. You will be responsible for following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be willing to sub for all positions including teacher, teacher assistant, classroom support, and cook

• Work as a team with teaching staff following all established classroom practices
• Step in for the teaching staff in their absence, following the provided lesson plans and curriculum
• Create a positive and welcoming learning environment
• Support children s individual needs, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Assist with classroom management and ensure student safety
• Communicate effectively with staff and children

Rural Utah Child Development (RUCD) is a comprehensive child development program designed to meet the educational, emotional, social, and health needs of children. The RUCD team works well together to provide strong support and leadership, creating a consistent and quality learning environment. Children receive individualized lesson plans with developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and families are involved with their children s education while they receive assistance with personal goals, parenting information, and leadership through parent committees and Policy Council.
