Special Education Bus Aide – Transportation (Part‑time)

Uintah School District is looking for a Special Education Bus Aide to assist with the transportation of students with special needs.

Position Details:
- Up to 29.5 hours per week
- Voucher position, no benefits
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or older

• Work with moderately and severely handicapped students under the direction of the classroom teacher and bus driver, and transport them to job sites and community projects.
• Relate positively with students, staff, parents, and community.
• Successfully support students with special needs (preferred).
• Lift up to 50 pounds and manage students when necessary.
• Follow outlined procedures consistently and objectively.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and other staff members.
• Work independently at assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school administrator.

• High School Diploma.
• Experience supervising special education students on AM & PM bus routes.
• Must hold an Associate's degree or have 48 semester hours of college credit, or be willing to pass the Para Pro test immediately upon hire.
