ACT Aerospace is seeking a Bid and Proposal Analyst to join our Business Development team. This individual will have extensive experience with RFP processes and hands-on generation of technical proposals, preferably within the Commercial, General Aviation, or DOD space. The position will support our sales organization reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Responsibilities- Works on all aspects of proposal development (RFP/RFI) for strategic or high-value sales opportunities.
- Ability to create winning proposals in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines.
- Applies proposal process, methodology, and best practices.
- Maintains compliance with requirements, internal controls, external regulations (e.g., procurement process), and sales methodology.
- Coordinates with multiple departments, including but not limited to BD, Engineering, Operations, etc. to obtain necessary content for proposal.
- Creates, manages, and maintains proposal delivery schedule, proposal design, and executes quality control functions.
- Responsible for all daily proposal management activities, including development of work plans, schedules and milestones.
- Facilitates development of all written components of the proposal.
- Manage output from proposal resources to ensure proposal structure complies with RFP requirements.
- Edits language provided by other members of pursuit team as needed for completeness and clarity.
- Contributes to the improvement of proposal Library and resources.
- Ability to take ownership of the entire proposal process from receipt of the RFP to the final output.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong proposal design skills to communicate information with impact.
- Ability to juggle simultaneous bids at various stages and with various complexities.
- Ability to manage proposal materials from all members of capture team including sales, consultants, subject matter experts, solution architects, etc.
- Ability to understand customer RFP requirements and ensure they are addressed in proposal.
- College degree or equivalent experience with Mechanical Engineering, Finance/Accounting, or a similar quantitative bias.
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel.
- Must be extremely responsive and be able to meet tight deadlines.
