Location: Parkview Trailer Court
Under the direction of the City Recorder, the Deputy Recorder performs statutory and administrative duties in support of the Recorder's Office, with primary responsibility for GRAMA compliance, municipal code maintenance and codification, and public records management.
This position also coordinates assigned boards and commissions, manages the City's official social media accounts, produces the monthly City newsletter, and assists with special projects as needed. The Deputy Recorder plays a key role in ensuring transparency, legal compliance, and accurate public communication.
Serves as a backup for the Customer Service Clerk, processes payments for utilities, building permits, and dog licenses, creates deposits and uploads banking files, and assists customers with accounting questions and billing information.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two (2) years of experience in municipal government, records management, executive assistant, administrative support, or related field.
- Knowledge of Utah GRAMA and Open and Public Meetings Act requirements.
- Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office suite fluency
- Prior experience in a municipal City Recorder's office
- English and Spanish fluency
- Certification with Utah City Recorders' Association
