We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced team member to join our Flight Physics Team eager to contribute and thrive in a dynamic R&D environment.

As an Aerodynamics Engineer specializing in CFD you will play a key role in the aerodynamic design analysis and performance optimization of our aircraft. Youll work closely with design propulsion flight dynamics and testing teams to ensure aerodynamic efficiency stability and regulatory compliance across all flight regimes.

Expertise in CFD modeling and analysis of external and internal flows aerodynamic optimization using various low to high fidelity modelling tools will be strongly valued in this position.

As part of the team you will operate at the forefront of cutting‑edge aerospace technology and directly contribute to the advancement of automated hybrid‑electric flight.

Tasks
  • Conduct low to high fidelity CFD simulations to predict aerodynamic performance stability and control characteristics of the aircraft.
  • Support aerodynamic design and optimization of lifting surfaces, fuselage and propulsion integration.
  • Define aerodynamic load cases for structural and performance analyses.
  • Develop validate and refine aerodynamic models using both numerical and experimental methods.
  • Correlate CFD predictions with wind tunnel and flight test data.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure aerodynamic and thermal performance aligns with design and certification requirements.
  • Support the development of aerodynamic databases for flight simulation and performance analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports verification & validation documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in aerodynamics numerical flow modelling and analysis within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aerodynamic principles flow physics and turbulence modeling in high vorticity flows.
  • Experience in mesh generation, solver setup and post-processing for both internal and external aerodynamics.
  • Good foundations in CAD freeform surface modelling.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Proficiency in English (German is a plus).
