Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

Salary up to £75,000 FTE DOE

Usk Vets are a two-site, small animal practice in the heart of Monmouthshire. Our branch surgery is within a ten‑minute drive and the main site is a stone‑throw from the Usk River, where staff and their dogs enjoy lunchtimes. We are a five‑minute walk into Usk Town and situated near the Brecon Beacons. Cardiff and Bristol are both within a 45‑minute drive.

We are looking for a veterinary surgeon who is confident, friendly and a team player to join our passionate team. The role is a full‑time position of 40 hours per week, working between 8:30 am and 7:00 pm, four days a week. We are open to discussing working days and hours that suit you. The team consists of 6 veterinary surgeons, 10 nurses, 9 receptionists and a practice manager.

You will work across our main surgery and branches on a shared rota, performing consulting, surgical and inpatient work. Our team includes certificate holders in surgery and we have a fully equipped laboratory, DR X‑ray with Signal Pet, dental X‑ray and theatre, ultrasound, endoscopy and walk‑in kennels.
