Customer Service Associate

Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $17.50/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash register and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommend items for sale and trade‑up or companion items to customers.
• Process purchases, collect cash, distribute change, and handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
• Keep counters and shelves clean, well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records. Check in and price merchandise as required or directed by store manager or shift leader.
• Implement asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol and tobacco).
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies, and rotate stock using FIFO and restock outs.
• Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provide service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster printing, and creative machines, as well as suggestive selling of photo products.
• Assume web pickup responsibilities: monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, pick items, and deliver orders to customers as they arrive.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Preference for six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Preference for prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Preference for fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
