Overview
LEE Chamberlin Consultant Engineers is seeking an experienced Senior CADD Technician to join our growing team. At LEE Chamberlin, we believe our people are our greatest asset. As a Senior CADD Technician, you will work closely with company ownership and project teams to support civil engineering and land surveying projects from concept through construction. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects—including transportation, municipal engineering, commercial and industrial sites, and residential developments—while mentoring and supporting other CADD staff.
Responsibilities- Lead and support a team of CADD Technicians in the preparation of drawings, details, schedules, and specifications using Micro Station
, Open Roads
, and related software. - Independently prepare high-quality construction drawings and project documents.
- Develop and maintain construction documents and project records.
- Coordinate plan and document reproduction.
- Observe and inspect contractor work to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and safety requirements.
- Perform construction site inspections and report quality issues or variances.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with contractors, clients, and internal project teams.
- Assist survey technicians with field work as needed, including the use of Trimble GPS and Trimble Office equipment.
- 8+ years of relevant CADD and drafting experience
- Advanced proficiency with Micro Station
, Open Roads
, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D - Ability to travel to various job sites and project locations
- Associate’s degree in Computer-Aided Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven record of reliability and successful past employment

Compensation & Benefits- Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year (based on experience)
